Back then I initially started going after I lost a close family member of mine. At the time, I felt awkward, anxious, and that honestly it was a joke. I thought <em><strong>&#8220;Talking to some random person who doesn&#8217;t know me? Why would they care to help me.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> Well recently I started going again. When I went to the first appointment, I felt again anxious, nervous, didn&#8217;t know if I was going to be able to talk to someone about what was on my mind or what I was seeking help for. But as I started talking to my therapist and ranting\/trauma dumping I thought <em><strong>&#8220;You know this isn&#8217;t as bad as I thought it would be. This is nice getting this all off my chest.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> After that appointment it changed my view from when I was a teenager and made me feel good and relieved after speaking with them. Now, I would recommend it to everyone as I believe it is a very useful thing, and it makes you feel better than you think it would.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My first therapy appointment was when I was about 15 years old.
